A2P 10DLC Use Case Changes

Industry wide changes regarding A2P 10DLC campaign applications and FAQs

Starting January 26, 2023, all new US A2P 10DLC Campaign registrations will be subject to a manual vetting process and will be charged a one-time $15 campaign verification fee at the time of registration including each re-submission of a previously rejected campaign.

This is an industry-wide change to combat spam and fraud. This fee is only collected by Avochato without any mark-up and is passed directly to the wireless industry’s main A2P DCA who performs the manual vetting.

What happens to campaigns registered on and after January 26, 2023?

These campaigns will be charged a one-time $15 fee per registration. The vetting process can take up to 5 or more business days.

What happens if my campaign is rejected?

Campaigns can be rejected if you submit incomplete and incorrect information in your application. The $15 fee is non-refundable and a re-submission will cost another $15 fee. On top of that, a re-submission can take another 5 or more business days to review and be approved by our DCA. We highly suggest that you verify the information you include in your A2P 10DLC campaign application to avoid rejection and unnecessary fees.

Can I still send messages during the vetting process or if my campaign is rejected?

Yes, however these messages you send will incur higher per message cost and will be sent through a non-A2P 10DLC route. This means it will be more expensive to send messages and it will be subject to higher filtering.

What happens to my existing campaigns?

Currently, only campaigns registered on or after January 26, 2023 are affected by this change. We will communicate if any changes happen that will require existing campaigns to be vetted manually.

What happens if I resubmit a campaign that was rejected before January 26, 2023

Any re-submission of a previously rejected campaign, on or after January 26, 2023, will be charged a $15 fee even if the initial campaign was submitted and rejected before January 26, 2023.

Is there any way to expedite the vetting process?

There is currently no way to expedite the vetting process and all new campaigns across the industry will be vetted in the same manner.
